Float
A floating device that glamourously challenges traditional conceptions of water safety
Float was created by trapping air within rip-stop nylon through impact. Extensive research was conducted to identify the most effective means of achieving buoyancy. Analysis of existing floating products, such as life jackets and inflatables, revealed that trapping air within a material through impact was the most effective method. The floating functionality is disguised in a dress design, inspired by the early 1900s era. Upon impact with the water’s surface, the dress instantly expands into a spherical shape.
